The RDK-GS12170-H2S00 evaluation board demonstrates the use of the GS12170 and the other Semtech devices featured on the boards. The GS12170 i a fully featured SDI/HDMI bridge for SDI link conversion applications. The GS12170 can be configured to operate in one of three modes: SDI to HDMI Bridge Mode, HDMI to SDI Bridge Mode, or SDI Gearbox Mode. On the RDK-GS12170-H2S00 evaluation board, the GS12170 is configured in HDMI to SDI mode. When configured in the HDMI-SDI configuration mode the GS12170 receives an HDMI TMDS compatible video stream and converts it into an SDI video stream. Only straight conversion of HDMI data format and data rates into corresponding SDI formats are supported.
